Editoral Review

Among the Echoes by Aly Martinez is a thriller that was first published on July 29, 2014. Aly Martinez is an award-winning author, and this book is no exception to her writing prowess.

Among the Echoes is a blend of horror, suspense, and paranormal elements that will keep the reader enthralled from beginning to end.

The book is set in a small town in Texas where life takes a turn for the worse when a serial killer strikes.

Recognizing that they cannot rely on the local police, a group of young adults set out to solve the murder mystery themselves. As they delve deeper into the investigation, the protagonists encounter a series of supernatural events that leave them questioning their senses.

Martinez skillfully brings together these different elements of the story to create a seamless and enjoyable read. One of the strengths of Among the Echoes is its tight pacing.

The story moves at an excellent pace that keeps the reader invested in the story. Martinez does an excellent job of keeping the audience guessing about the killer’s identity, and the tension in the book is palpable.

The characters are also well-developed and relatable, and the reader will find themselves rooting for them as they race against time to solve the crime. Martinez’s writing style is polished and draws the reader into the story with descriptive language and believable dialogue.

The author also does an excellent job of weaving together the main themes of the book: friendship, loss, love, and the supernatural. The book brings to light the idea that some spirits cannot find peace even after death and the power of friendship and love to overcome fear and mistrust.

Among the Echoes has elements of horror that may not be suitable for all audiences. However, for those who enjoy the genre, this book is a perfect fit.

The book has some flaws, particularly in the second half, where the story feels rushed and slightly disjointed. Additionally, some of the supernatural elements may feel repetitive to some readers.

Overall, Among the Echoes is an excellent read that lovers of horror and thriller genres will thoroughly enjoy. It is a well-written, fast-paced novel with engaging characters, supernatural elements, and a thrilling mystery that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat.

Although the book has a few minor flaws, it’s still an excellent read that deserves a recommended read rating.
