Editoral Review

Beach Colors by Shelley Noble is a heart-warming and well-written tale that explores the power of friendship, love and self-discovery. This book was first published on January 1, 2012 and has since become a favorite among readers who enjoy contemporary women’s fiction.

Shelley Noble, the author, is an American author who has written many books in the contemporary women’s fiction genre. She is known for her delightful storytelling and her ability to create vivid and relatable characters.

In Beach Colors, Noble has created a cast of believable characters who will stay with the reader long after the book is finished. The book is set in a small beach town called Safe Harbor on the coast of Connecticut.

The main character, Margaux Sullivan, returns to her hometown to renovate her old family home, which has fallen into disrepair. Margaux is a talented artist who has been living in New York City and is struggling to come to terms with a recent break-up.

As she starts to fix up the house, she reconnects with her old friends and also meets new people, including her charming and attractive neighbor, Alec Devlin. At its heart, this book is about the power of friendship and community.

The characters are well-developed and likable, and the setting is described with great detail, making the reader feel like they are right there in Safe Harbor. The conflicts in the book are relatable and realistic, and the pacing is just right, never dragging or feeling rushed.

One of the strengths of this book is the way it explores themes of self-discovery, forgiveness, and second chances. Noble’s writing is evocative and poetic, and her descriptions of the landscape and scenery are breathtaking.

She also delves into issues such as addiction, betrayal, and grief, which are handled with sensitivity and nuance. However, there are a few weaknesses in this book.

The plot may feel predictable at times, and some readers may find the romance a bit clichd. The characters may also feel a bit too perfect, lacking in flaws or complexity.

Overall, Beach Colors is a highly enjoyable and engaging read that would be perfect for fans of contemporary women’s fiction. The book is well-written, with vivid descriptions, relatable characters, and a heart-warming message.

It would be a great beach read, or a perfect choice for a book club discussion. It deserves a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
