Overview

My name is Lily Jones and I was just an ordinary girl until I stumbled upon the Freak Show. It was a circus unlike any other, filled with strange creatures and oddities that left me both fascinated and terrified.

But when my little brother falls ill and the only cure is a rare potion that can only be obtained from the leader of the Freak Show, I am forced to make a deal with a devil. Now, I am part of the show, a performer in a world where anything goes and everything is possible.

But as I delve deeper into this strange and twisted world, I begin to wonder if I made the right choice. Will I be able to save my brother and escape the grip of the Freak Show, or will I be trapped forever in this circus of horrors?

The book follows the adventures of two teenage boys, Darren and Steve, who stumble upon a traveling circus known as “Cirque Du Freak.” They soon discover that the performers are not your average circus performers; they are vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings. As the boys become entangled in the circus’s dark secrets, they must navigate betrayal, loyalty, and their own mortality.

Shan’s writing style is fast-paced and immersive, making it easy for readers to get lost in the world of “Cirque Du Freak.” The plot is full of twists and turns, keeping readers guessing until the very end. The characters are well-developed, and readers will find themselves rooting for them despite their flaws.

The themes of “El circo de los extraos” revolve around identity, acceptance, and the consequences of our choices. It touches on the darker aspects of human nature while also exploring the idea of what it means to be human.

The book has a strong message about the dangers of blindly following others and encourages readers to think for themselves. One criticism of the book is that some of the characters are underdeveloped, and their motivations are unclear.
