About the Author

Meg Cabot, also known as Jenny Carroll (1-800-Where-R-You series) and Patricia Cabot (historical romance novels), was born on February 1, 1967, in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born during the Chinese astrological year of the Fire Horse, a sign that is considered unlucky.

Despite this, Meg grew up in a town where people were not aware of the stigma associated with being a Fire Horse, until she became a teenager. During her teenage years, she flunked freshman Algebra twice and decided to cut her own bangs.

After spending six years as an undergrad at Indiana University, Meg moved to New York City to pursue a career as an illustrator, but things did not go as planned. She failed miserably and sought solace in her favorite hobby, writing novels.

To make ends meet, she worked various jobs, including a decade-long stint as the assistant manager of a 700 bed freshmen dormitory at NYU.

Meg is a prolific author with nearly fifty books to her name for both adults and teens. She has sold over fifteen million copies worldwide and many of her books have been #1 New York Times bestsellers.

The Princess Diaries series is one of her most popular works and has been published in over 38 countries. It was also made into two hit movies by Disney.

Meg has also written other popular series such as the Mediator and 1-800-Where-R-You? series, two All-American Girl books, Teen Idol, Avalon High, How to Be Popular, Pants on Fire, Jinx, a series of novels written entirely in email format, a mystery series, and a chick-lit series called Queen of Babble.

Currently, Meg is working on a new children’s series called Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls, and a new paranormal series called Abandon, which is set to debut in the summer of 2011. Meg divides her time between Key West, Indiana, and New York City with her husband and her cats.

Her primary cat is a one-eyed feline named Henrietta, and she also has several backup cats. Meg’s husband is unaware that he married a Fire Horse, so please don’t tell him.

Editoral Review

Every Boy’s Got One, written by Meg Cabot, is a heartwarming romantic comedy that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon. Published on December 21, 2004, this book is a light read that will take you on a journey of love and friendship.

Meg Cabot is a renowned author who has written many best-selling books across various genres. She is well known for her YA series, The Princess Diaries, but this time around she has successfully ventured into the romance genre, and she does not disappoint.

The book’s main protagonist is an illustrator named Jane Harris, who is asked to accompany her best friend, Holly, to Italy to witness her wedding to a man she met only once, Mark. Things take a turn for the worst when Jane realizes that she has to sit on a transatlantic flight next to Mark’s best man, Cal Langdon.

To make matters worse, Jane and Cal do not get along. Throughout the book, we see the two characters bicker and argue, as they try to navigate their way through Italy with Holly and Mark’s eccentric families.

Every Boy’s Got One is a beautifully written novel with a simple yet captivating plot. The author’s writing style is easy to read and engaging, making the book a page-turner.

The book is also filled with humorous moments, and the banter between Jane and Cal will keep you entertained throughout. The author has done an excellent job of character development, as we see the two main characters, Jane and Cal, grow and evolve through the story.

Both characters have their flaws, but as the story progresses, they learn to accept each other and see beyond their differences. One issue that the book has is that it can be predictable at times.

The storyline is not entirely unique, and some readers may find themselves guessing what will happen next. However, this does not take away from the fact that the book is still an enjoyable read.

In conclusion, Every Boy’s Got One is an excellent book for anyone who is looking for a light-hearted and entertaining read. It is perfect for anyone who enjoys romantic comedies and is looking for a story full of humor, heart, and love.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read to take their minds off life’s stresses. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
