About the Author

There are times in our lives that we wish we could erase or forget, moments of darkness that we struggle to move past. But it’s often these very struggles that give us the strength to persevere.

For me, writing has been a way to confront and overcome the demons of my past. Many of my characters have similarly dark or troubled pasts, and my books follow their journey as they emerge from the darkness that has held them down for so long.

As the darkness fades, hope for a brighter future begins to shine through, much like the sun after a storm. Each of my books contains a piece of my soul, and my faith in a better tomorrow is reflected in the hope and perseverance of my characters.

Books have always been a source of escape and joy for me, and I hope that my writing can offer the same to others. Finding Anna by C.C. Masters is a compelling psychological thriller that will leave readers on the edge of their seats. Published on November 15, 2017, the novel explores complex themes such as trauma, memory, and identity, making it a must-read for fans of the genre.

C.C. Masters sets the story in a small town, where the main character, Anna, goes missing after a traumatic experience. The plot follows Anna’s sister, Julie, as she goes on a quest to find her sister and uncover the truth about what happened to her.

As Julie delves deeper into the mystery, she realizes that the small town holds dark secrets that threaten to destroy her and her family. Masters’ writing is beautiful and haunting, drawing readers into the story from the very first page.

The character development is top-notch, with each character feeling like a fully-realized person with their own motivations and flaws. The pacing of the story is perfect, keeping readers engaged and invested in the story without ever feeling rushed.

While the story is set in a small town, it touches on universal themes that are relevant to readers everywhere. Finding Anna explores the aftermath of trauma and how it can impact one’s memory and sense of self.

This is especially poignant at a time when mental health awareness is at the forefront of public discourse. One possible weakness of Finding Anna is that some readers may find the plot predictable.

However, Masters’ strong writing and character development more than make up for any shortcomings in the plot. Additionally, the novel’s exploration of deep, meaningful themes will leave readers thinking long after they finish reading.

Overall, Finding Anna is an exceptional psychological thriller that is not to be missed. With its beautiful writing, well-crafted characters, and important themes, it is a standout in its genre.

The Washington Post highly recommends this novel to anyone looking for a thrilling and thought-provoking read.
