About the Author

Tracy Solheim is an author who features bare-chested men on the covers of her books, some of which have become best-sellers. When she’s not typing away at her computer, she enjoys indulging in some curling, but not the icy kind.

Instead, she prefers curling up with a bottle of wine. Although she can cook a decent meal, she limits herself to two nights in a row.

Her true passion lies in reading and considers it an essential form of research. She shares her home in the suburbs of Atlanta with her husband and a high-strung Labrador retriever.

While her two adult children do visit from time to time, it’s never often enough, especially since she isn’t keen on cooking for them. For a peek into her world, sign up for her newsletter and receive a free cookbook from her Chances Inlet series as a token of her appreciation.

Editoral Review

Tracy Solheims Game On is a romance novel that will keep readers entertained and engaged from beginning to end. Solheim, an American author, is known for her contemporary romance novels that often feature football players and strong female characters.

Set in contemporary times, Game On is the first of the Out of Bounds series. The book tells the story of aspiring sports journalist Georgia Perry, who has always been determined to make it in the male-dominated world of sports journalism.

When she gets the chance to interview the hotshot NFL quarterback, Cole Riley, she jumps at the opportunity. However, things dont go as planned when the interview takes a different turn and Georgia ends up in a fake relationship with the handsome athlete.

Solheims writing style is impressive, with vivid descriptions and well-crafted dialogues that keep the story moving at a steady pace. The characters are well-developed and relatable, allowing readers to easily connect with them on an emotional level.

While Game On is undoubtedly a romance novel, it also explores other themes such as sexism and the power dynamics between men and women in the sports industry. One of the main strengths of the book is the chemistry between the two main characters.

The banter and sexual tension between Georgia and Cole are palpable, and readers will find themselves rooting for them to get together. Meanwhile, the secondary characters, such as Georgias best friend and Coles teammates, provide additional depth and humor to the story.

However, the book is not without flaws. Some readers may find the plot clich or predictable, and the resolution a bit rushed.

Additionally, the book could have delved deeper into some of the social issues it touches on. Despite these minor shortcomings, Game On is a solid piece of contemporary romance fiction that delivers on both romance and sports.

Fans of the genre will find themselves drawn to Solheims writing and hooked by the believable and likable characters. Overall, Game On is an excellent read for anyone who enjoys a good romance novel with a healthy dose of humor and sports action.

It’s a perfect fit for fans of Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Kristan Higgins. The book earns a respectable 4 out of 5 rating, with the extra point going for Solheims ability to craft such well-rounded and relatable characters.
