About the Author
Juliet Marillier, a New Zealand native, was raised on a steady diet of Celtic music and stories. She drew from her own Celtic-Gaelic heritage to pen her debut series, the Sevenwaters Trilogy.
Juliet earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Otago, majoring in music and languages, and continues to be fascinated by history, folklore, and mythology, which heavily influence her writing.
Juliet has authored 21 historical fantasy novels for both adults and young adults, and a collection of short fiction, garnering numerous accolades for her work.
Currently, Juliet resides in a charming 110-year-old cottage in a riverside neighborhood of Perth, Western Australia, where she cares for her pack of rescue dogs. She is the proud parent of four adult children and eight grandchildren.
