Adele Parks’ latest novel, Lies, Lies, Lies, is a gripping and suspenseful domestic thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Parks, a renowned British author of women’s fiction, has ventured into darker territory with this book, and the result is a disturbing yet compelling read that showcases her versatility as a writer.
The story is told from the perspectives of three main characters: Daisy, a successful physiotherapist; Simon, her charming, alcoholic husband; and Millie, their daughter, who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Daisy and Simon’s marriage is already on shaky ground due to Simon’s addiction and infidelity, but when a shocking incident occurs, their lives spiral out of control, and the lies they tell each other and themselves threaten to destroy their family.
