Overview

Running away from my past has never been easy, but when I stumble upon a supernatural world I never knew existed, it becomes even harder. The City Pack is after me, and they’ll stop at nothing to get what they want.

My only option is to rob Garreth Locke, the most powerful man in the city. But things get complicated when I realize he’s not just any hot, rich guy – he’s a werewolf.

And he wants me just as much as I want him. However, I can’t let my guard down.

The City Pack is still after me, and if Garreth finds out about my true intentions, he could be just as dangerous. With my heart and life on the line, I’ll have to navigate this dangerous world and hope I make it out alive.

Editoral Review

Midnight Moon by Linsey Hall is an exciting addition to the urban fantasy genre, sure to captivate readers with its impressive world-building, intriguing characters and fast-paced action. Hall, who has penned multiple successful series in the past, proves to be a seasoned expert in this genre as she takes readers on a thrilling ride through a world of magic and peril.

Set in the vividly realized city of London, Midnight Moon introduces us to the heroine of the story, Jessica Northwood, a powerful witch who has spent most of her life hiding her gifts from the world. That is until a sinister force begins hunting down her fellow supernaturals, making it impossible to stay in the shadows any longer.

With her friends and family in danger, Jessica must team up with a mysterious ex-soldier named Chase to uncover the source of this new threat and protect those she loves. Halls writing is effortless, drawing readers in with her well-crafted prose and clever dialogue.

The characters are multi-dimensional and relatable, with just the right balance of flaws and strengths to make them feel like real people. The magical elements of the story are seamlessly woven into the plot, creating a richly textured world that feels both fantastical and grounded in reality.

One of the standout features of this book is the attention to detail in the world-building. From the bustling streets of London to the hidden corners of the supernatural world, Hall brings the setting to life with vivid descriptions and atmospheric detail.

The action scenes are well-paced and thrilling, making it hard to put the book down once it gets going. Despite all of its strengths, Midnight Moon is not without its flaws.

The pacing is occasionally uneven, with certain scenes dragging on a bit longer than necessary. Some of the secondary characters could have been fleshed out more, as they remain somewhat underdeveloped throughout the story.

Overall, Midnight Moon is an engaging, well-written urban fantasy novel that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. Halls skill as a storyteller shines through on every page, and readers will find themselves eagerly awaiting the next installment in this promising new series.

Rating: 4/5 stars.
