About the Author

Masashi Kishimoto is a well-known manga artist from Japan who is famous for creating the popular manga series, Naruto. Interestingly, his younger twin brother Seishi Kishimoto is also a manga artist and has created manga series like O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive.

Kishimoto has had some former assistants like Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand’s), who have also achieved moderate success after working on Naruto.

Kishimoto began his journey as a manga artist with Karakuri, which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. His work earned him the “Hop Step Award” from Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1996, which is awarded to promising new manga artists.

In 1997, Kishimoto published a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO-ナルト-) in Akamaru Jump Summer. The following year, he debuted as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump.

However, it did not receive much popularity and was canceled soon after. In 1999, Kishimoto’s serialized version of Naruto was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump, and it quickly became a massive hit.

Editoral Review

Naruto -ナルト- 67, written by Masashi Kishimoto, is the latest addition to the beloved Japanese manga series that has become a pop culture phenomenon since its first publication in 1999. Kishimoto’s work is characterized by its unique blend of action, adventure, and supernatural elements that appeal to readers of all ages.

Set in a fictional world that resembles feudal Japan, the story follows the journey of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja with dream and ambition of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. In Naruto -ナルト- 67, Naruto is faced with new challenges and obstacles as he continues to train and hone his skills to protect his friends and save the world from destruction.

Alongside Naruto are his fellow ninja and friends, such as Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. The series has always explored themes of friendship, loyalty, and perseverance, with characters who are flawed and relatable.

In this latest installment, Kishimoto takes the story to new heights, introducing new characters and plot twists that will leave readers on the edge of their seats. The art style is one of the highlights of Naruto -ナルト- 67, with its intricate details and bold lines that bring the characters and world to life.

The fight scenes are expertly choreographed, with each panel conveying the intensity and emotion of the battles. While some may dismiss manga as a frivolous form of entertainment, Kishimoto’s work transcends its genre, dealing with complex issues and themes.

The series has been praised for its portrayal of mental health and trauma, as well as for its commentary on war and violence. However, one weakness of Naruto -ナルト- 67 is its reliance on prior knowledge of the series.

New readers may find it difficult to understand the complex relationships and backstory of the characters without reading the previous volumes. Overall, Naruto -ナルト- 67 is a must-read for fans of the series and those who enjoy action-packed, character-driven stories.

It is a testament to Kishimoto’s skill as a storyteller and artist, and a reminder of why Naruto has endured for over two decades. Rating: 4.5/5
