About the Author

I’ve loved thrillers ever since I watched All the President’s Men as a kid, even though I didn’t fully understand it at the time. Now, I’m lucky enough to live and breathe fast-paced stories with characters you can’t help but care about.

My writing takes you behind the scenes of intelligence agencies and the most secretive parts of politics – the parts they don’t want you to see.

People often say that I write like I’m making a movie, and that’s no coincidence. I take inspiration from cinema just as much as literature.

Daniel Craig’s Bond films, Glengarry Glen Ross, and Spartan are some of my favorites. But TV has also played a big role in shaping my writing style.

I’m a huge fan of shows like the original BBC miniseries State of Play, David Simon’s The Wire, and Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing, as well as the US version of House of Cards.

I’ve been working in the book industry since I was 21, and I’m grateful every day to be doing what I love.
