Editoral Review

Helen Hardt’s Ravenous is a thrilling romance novel that will leave readers craving more. Hardt is a bestselling author of the Steel Brothers Saga series and has crafted another captivating tale in Ravenous.

This book was first published on October 29, 2019, and is part of the Steel Brothers Saga Universe. Ravenous is a modern-day romance that tells the story of journalist Jonah Steel and his love interest, Melanie Carmichael.

Jonah is a dedicated journalist who is investigating a sex trafficking ring that leads him to Melanie, who is a survivor of sex trafficking. Melanie is struggling to come to terms with her past while Jonah becomes more invested in her story.

As they work together to uncover the truth of the ring and Melanie’s past, they also find themselves falling for each other. Hardt does an excellent job of building a suspenseful and engaging plot.

The characters are well-developed, and their backstories add depth and complexity to the story. The themes of trauma, redemption, and love are excellently portrayed throughout the book.

The pacing of the book is superb. While the plot has many twists and turns, the author manages to keep the reader engaged and invested in the story.

The setting is also well-done, with vivid descriptions that transport the reader to the world of the characters. One of the strengths of this book is the way it handles sensitive issues such as sex trafficking and trauma.

Hardt has clearly done her research, and her portrayal of these issues is both accurate and compassionate. The book is not exploitative or overly sensationalized, which is a refreshing change in the romance genre.

However, Ravenous is not perfect. While the plot is engaging, some of the dialogue feels forced or awkward, and there are a few moments where the writing becomes repetitive.

Additionally, the romance between the main characters may be predictable for seasoned romance readers. Overall, Ravenous is an excellent book that will captivate readers.

The compelling plot, excellent character development, and sensitive handling of sensitive issues make it a standout in the romance genre. We highly recommend Ravenous to fans of romance, suspense, and anyone looking for a thrilling read.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
