About the Author

In my opinion, growing up in a small town can give someone a unique advantage when it comes to imagination. It’s a necessity, otherwise, you might lose your mind.

Personally, my imagination has saved me countless times. Although, I must admit, it did get me into trouble a few times as well.

The downside to having a vivid imagination is that it can be hard to distinguish between what’s real and what’s not.

Despite my age, I still yearn for the magical worlds I read about in books. I would drop everything and head off to Hogwarts if given the chance.

It’s safe to say that I’ve searched every closet in hopes of finding the door to Narnia. The King’s Road is another place I’d love to explore, but I’m afraid I’d get lost.

Luckily, I’ve been able to find success as an international best-selling author. I suppose my quirkiness and eccentricity have helped me stand out in the crowded publishing world.

When I’m not lost in my imagination, I’m a happily married mother of two daughters. I also have two large dogs, two ferocious cats, and a fondness for a good glass of red wine.

My work is represented by Natalie Lakosil from the Bradford Literary Agency, and I’ve been traditionally published by Montlake Romance and Skyscape Publishing.

Editoral Review

Tara Brown’s Reborn is a young adult novel that was first published on June 26, 2013. Brown is a bestselling author in the young adult genre and is known for her imaginative and captivating stories.

This book is a unique blend of dystopian fiction and romance, delivering an exciting and satisfying read to its target audience. The protagonist of the story is Sienna, who has been living in a world that has been destroyed by a virus.

Sienna is an orphan who has grown up in a shelter, where she is medicated and tested regularly. When she turns 18, she is sent to a facility called “The Academy” where she will undergo enhancements to become a soldier in the war against the virus.

However, nothing goes as planned and Sienna discovers that she is not who she thought she was. Reborn is a thrilling story that takes readers on a journey through a post-apocalyptic world.

Brown has created a universe that is both vivid and frightening, with a well-crafted plot that keeps the reader engaged until the very end. The pacing of the story is impeccable, gradually building up to a satisfying conclusion.

Sienna is an engaging protagonist, and the supporting characters are equally well-rounded. The relationships between the characters are intricately woven, giving the book a depth and complexity that is not often found in young adult novels.

The romance in the story is delicate and nuanced, adding a layer of tenderness to the overall tone of the book. The author’s writing style is commendable, with well-crafted dialogue, vivid descriptions, and a good sense of pacing.

Brown’s ability to convey emotions and thoughts through her writing is outstanding, and it is easy to empathize with the characters. While Reborn is an enjoyable read, there are a few areas where the book falls short.

The world-building could have been more detailed, and the ending felt rushed, leaving some questions unanswered. Also, at times, the plot felt predictable, and the character development could have been more substantial.

Overall, Reborn is an excellent read that successfully blends romance and dystopian fiction. Fans of young adult novels will find a lot to love in this book.

It is an imaginative and thrilling story that will take readers on an emotional journey. I would recommend Reborn to anyone looking for an engaging adventure story that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.
