Editoral Review

Save Your Breath by Melinda Leigh is a compelling thriller that grabs the readers attention from the first page and doesnt let go until the last. Published on September 17, 2019, the book is part of Leighs Morgan Dane series and is an impressive addition to the authors repertoire.

With its suspenseful plot, well-developed characters, and precisely crafted atmosphere, this book is a must-read for fans of the thriller genre. In this book, the story follows Morgan Dane, a former prosecutor turned private investigator, as she works on a case that hits close to home.

When her neighbors daughter disappears, Morgan works tirelessly to unravel the mysteries surrounding the case. Along with her partner Lance, Morgan delves deeper into the investigation, uncovering secrets and discovering that the case is more complex than it seems.

Throughout the book, Leigh keeps the tension high and doesnt let the reader rest until the case is solved. Leigh has a talent for crafting vivid and dynamic characters, and Save Your Breath is no exception.

Morgan Dane is a strong, determined woman who is willing to put everything on the line to find the truth. Alongside her, the other characters are equally well-rounded, with flaws and complexities that make them relatable and engaging.

The setting of the book, a small town that is seemingly peaceful on the surface but has deep-rooted secrets lurking beneath, adds to the tension of the story and serves as an effective backdrop for the investigation. The themes of the book, which include family, trust, and justice, are explored with aplomb.

Leigh deftly handles these heavy themes without ever sacrificing the pace of the book, and the result is a well-rounded story that will stay with the reader long after they finish reading. Save Your Breath is a story that feels timeless in its exploration of human nature and serves as a reminder that justice is not always black and white.

While the books strengths are numerous, it does have a few flaws. The pacing can be slow at times, and there are moments where the story feels predictable.

However, these issues are minor and do not detract from the overall quality of the book. Overall, Save Your Breath by Melinda Leigh is a stellar addition to the thriller genre.

With its powerful themes, fully-realized characters, and expertly crafted plot, this book is a must-read for any fan of the genre. I rate this book a 4 out of 5, and Im confident that those who read it will not be disappointed.
