Overview

“Breaking is inevitable, the only variable is how one rises from it. Shadow’s Fall tells a tale of one such journey.

Enter the world of the Shadow Series, where Light and Dark are at war, and nothing is as it seems. Violet Archer senses an impending doom, but the source of it remains a mystery.

She must confront the Darkness that lurks both inside and outside of her, while also navigating the complexities of her heart. Abandoned by one lover and pursued by another, she is determined to be the hero of her own story.

But as she will discover, sometimes heroes turn into villains. Experience a thrilling adventure of love, loss, and redemption, but beware: this is an adult novel that contains mature and explicit content.”

Editoral Review

If only all books, and all reviews of books, were as beautifully written as Shadow’s Fall by T.M. Hart. Published on March 28, 2020, this novel is a true masterpiece of the horror genre that is sure to leave readers feeling both terrified and deeply moved.

Hart is a relatively new voice in the world of horror fiction, but her talent is evident from the first page of Shadow’s Fall. Her writing is lyrical and precise, evoking a sense of dread and uncertainty that permeates every sentence.

She excels at crafting vivid, unforgettable characters, and her descriptions of both the physical and emotional world of her story are simply breathtaking. The novel takes place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest, where strange things are happening.

As the residents of the town begin to experience bizarre and terrifying events, a group of unlikely allies must band together to uncover the truth behind the supernatural forces at work. The central characters include a young woman with psychic abilities, a grizzled detective haunted by his past, and a mysterious figure who seems to hold the key to unlocking the secrets of the town.

Throughout the novel, Hart explores themes of loss, grief, and the nature of evil in a way that is both deeply affecting and thought-provoking. She also deftly weaves in elements of American Gothic literature, drawing inspiration from classic horror writers like Shirley Jackson and H.P. Lovecraft.

Shadow’s Fall is not without its flaws, of course. Some readers may find the pacing to be a bit slow at times, and the complex web of relationships between the characters can be difficult to untangle.

However, these criticisms are minor when compared to the overall strength of the novel. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Shadow’s Fall to anyone who loves horror fiction, and to anyone who appreciates beautifully crafted writing and complex characters.

The novel is not for the faint of heart, but for those who are willing to brave its dark themes and unsettling imagery, it is an experience unlike any other. I give it five stars out of five.
