About the Author

As a full-time author specializing in indie fantasy and science fiction, I spend most of my days immersed in the world of writing. However, when I’m not crafting stories, I love nothing more than taking my furry companions out to explore the great outdoors.

Whether we’re hiking through the mountains or strolling along the beach, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of adventure that comes from spending time in nature with my beloved dogs.

Editoral Review

Soulblade by Lindsay Buroker is a captivating science fiction novel that will leave readers engrossed until the very last page. Buroker, known for her imaginative and creative world-building skills, has once again delivered an enthralling story that will keep lovers of the sci-fi genre glued.

Soulblade is set in the aftermath of the events that transpired in the previous book of the series, where the protagonist, Captain Niall has to fight against an ancient race that wants to wipe out humankind. Niall’s journey to save humanity continues in Soulblade as he embarks on a mission to retrieve the Soulblade, a legendary weapon capable of stopping the ancient race from destroying humanity.

However, obtaining the Soulblade is not an easy feat, and Niall and his team must face dangerous enemies and confront their own inner demons throughout their journey. One of the strengths of Soulblade is the character development.

The author’s ability to develop the characters throughout the novel is exceptional, and readers can easily connect with them due to their relatable nature. The cast is diverse and filled with personalities that complement each other, leading to some engaging dialogue and emotional moments that genuinely pull at the reader’s heartstrings.

The pacing of the book is near perfect, with suspense-filled moments being adequately placed throughout the story. Readers are great exemplified of how well paced the book is by being on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with the characters, leading up to an intense and exciting finale.

However, one of the book’s limitations is that readers who have not read the previous book may find it difficult to understand the context and fully grasp the character’s motives. Soulblade is a book that many sci-fi enthusiasts will enjoy from the first page until the end.

The story is quite captivating, keeping readers engaged, and the author’s world-building is very immersive. The themes of loyalty, courage, and fighting for what is right are inspiring and carry a great lesson for readers.

I highly recommend this book to all sci-fi lovers looking for a story that will take them on a thrilling journey. Therefore, we give Soulblade by Lindsay Buroker a rating of 9.5/10.
