Overview

In the mystical world of the Elder Races, passion and power collide in a storm of desire. As an heir to the throne of the Light Fae, Seraphina “Sera” Talon is a force to be reckoned with.

But when a deadly threat looms over her kingdom, she must seek refuge among the Wyr in New York City. There, she meets Rune Blackwell, a Wyr warrior with the ability to summon lightning and thunder.

As their worlds collide, Sera and Rune find themselves drawn to each other in a way that defies reason. But with danger closing in, they must fight to protect each other and their forbidden love, or risk losing everything they hold dear.

About the Author

I’m a writer of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and various other genres. I have a lifelong passion for books that started when I taught myself to read at just four years old.

Around that same time, I attempted to ride my tricycle to a place called “work.” I wasn’t entirely sure where it was, but I figured it must be something special if people went there every day.

Fortunately, I’ve since found a way to combine my love of books with my career, and I no longer have to rely on my tricycle to get there. My Elder Races series first hit bookshelves in May of 2011.

Editoral Review

Storm’s Heart by Thea Harrison is a thrilling addition to the “Elder Races” series, showcasing the author’s prowess in crafting supernatural romances. Harrison is an American author known for her paranormal romance novels, which often feature characters with supernatural abilities such as shapeshifting and supernatural powers.

The author’s works are well-known for their steamy romance, action-packed scenes, and complex world-building. Storm’s Heart is set in a world where various supernatural entities exist alongside humans, and follows the story of the Wyr, a group of shapeshifters who live among humans to protect them from supernatural threats.

The book focuses on Tiago Black Eagle, an alpha male Wyr, and Niniane Lorelle, a half-human, half-dark Fae princess. The two characters are brought together by fate and are thrust into a dangerous mission that has the potential to change their lives forever.

At its core, Storm’s Heart is a romance novel that explores the themes of love, trust, and betrayal. The book has a well-developed plot that keeps the reader engaged from start to finish.

The author’s writing style is engrossing and immersive, transporting the reader to the intricate and detailed world of the “Elder Races.”

One of the strengths of the book is the character development. Harrison has created complex and relatable characters that are easy to root for.

Tiago is a strong, charismatic, and fiercely protective hero, while Niniane is a smart, independent, and brave heroine. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, and the author skillfully builds their relationship over the course of the story.

Another great aspect of the book is the intricate world-building. Harrison has created a detailed and vivid world that is both fascinating and believable.

The inclusion of different supernatural beings, their alliances and rivalries, and their place in society is well thought out and adds depth to the story. The author’s descriptions of the different creatures are rich and imaginative, and the world-building is done in a way that it does not overshadow the romance but enhances it.

However, the book is not without its flaws. The pacing can be uneven, and there are moments where the story drags.

Additionally, there are some plot points that are predictable, and the reader may see them coming from a mile away. However, these flaws are minor compared to the overall quality of the book.

Overall, Storm’s Heart is a fantastic addition to the “Elder Races” series. It is well written, well-paced, and well-developed.

The characters are complex, the romance is steamy, and the world-building is intricate. The book will appeal to fans of the paranormal romance genre, and those who enjoy action-packed and romantic stories.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a thrilling and engaging read. Rating: 4/5 stars.
