Editoral Review

Strands of Sorrow by John Ringo is a science fiction book that was first published on December 15, 2014. Known for his unique take on science fiction, the author has created a thrilling, action-packed adventure that is sure to keep readers engaged.

The book is set in a dystopian future where humanity is on the brink of extinction. A virus has wiped out most of the population and those that remain are struggling to survive.

The plot centers around a small group of survivors who are working together to try and find a cure for the virus. Their journey takes them across the world as they encounter various obstacles along the way.

The book’s main characters are well-developed and each has their distinct personality. The protagonist, Michael Harmon, is a former soldier who has seen the worst of humanity.

He is the driving force behind finding the cure for the virus and takes on the role of a leader in the book. The other main characters, including his wife and daughter, provide a sense of emotional depth to the story that makes it more than just another action-packed adventure.

One of the book’s major strengths is its world-building. Ringo has created a dark and terrifying world that is believable and immersive.

The attention to detail in the world-building adds to the book’s overall sense of realism and makes it easy to visualize the world that the characters are living in. The pacing of the book is also well done, with the action scenes being both intense and thrilling.

However, there are some limitations to the book. The writing style can be a bit dense at times, and some readers may find it difficult to get through.

Additionally, some of the characters’ actions and motivations are not always fully explained, which can be frustrating. Overall, Strands of Sorrow is a well-crafted science fiction novel that will appeal to fans of the genre.

The book’s strengths outweigh its limitations, making it a strong addition to any sci-fi fan’s library. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dystopian adventures with well-developed characters and immersive world-building.

I give Strands of Sorrow a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
