About the Author

I initially had a brief introduction about myself, but after receiving feedback from several individuals requesting more information, I decided to expand upon it. I am a full-time home supervisor, which is a term used to describe a homemaker, and I am happily married to my dream partner for 20 years with four children.

I reside in Southern California and cannot function without my iced coffee. Romance is something that I believe in, and I have always been a daydreamer.

I am an avid reader, and books have always been a significant part of my life.

Writing was not always a passion of mine. As a child, I would devour entire series of books, such as Pippi Longstocking, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, Trixie Belden, and The Borrowers, all within a matter of days.

By the age of nine, I had an adult library card, which I frequently used to take out books. As I grew older, I transitioned to authors like John Saul, Stephen King, Richard Laymon, and Agatha Christie, before finally discovering romance novels, which I was instantly hooked on.

I began writing poetry during my teenage years and eventually moved on to short stories. My first book was born after reading a poorly written novel with terrible characters and a weak plot that frustrated me, and I believed that I could do better.

My first book was written in the early 90s, along with a series of books that followed. I am a series enthusiast! I continued writing for pleasure and produced MANY books.

In 2009, I decided to pursue publishing and wrote my first science-fiction romance novel, Ral’s Woman. I submitted it, made a few modifications, and received an acceptance letter from Ellorascave.

It felt like a ‘Cinderella’ moment for me. It has been an incredible journey thus far, and I am overjoyed that I can now commit to writing full time.

It truly is a dream come true.

Editoral Review

Taunting Krell by Laurann Dohner is a paranormal romance novel that was first published on October 14, 2011. Dohner has made a name for herself with her steamy, action-packed romance novels featuring supernatural creatures.

Taunting Krell is no different and it will undoubtedly appeal to Dohner’s fans. The plot centers around Krell, a fierce and dominant alien race that is feared by all.

However, when they cross paths with a group of human females, their worldview is challenged. The book’s main character is Jenna, a woman who is abducted by the Krell and finds herself inexplicably drawn to one of them, Tyan.

As she gets to know Tyan and the other Krell, Jenna’s perception of them begins to change, and she finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew. Dohner’s writing style is fast-paced and action-packed, with plenty of steamy romance scenes thrown in for good measure.

The book is set in a futuristic world where aliens and humans coexist, and the world-building is well done. Dohner has created a rich, detailed universe, complete with its own history and politics.

The characters are well-developed, and Tyan is a particularly interesting character. As a Krell, he is fiercely loyal to his people, but his feelings for Jenna begin to challenge those loyalties.

Jenna, too, is a strong character, and it’s refreshing to see a female lead who can take care of herself. The book does have some flaws, however.

Some readers may find the romance scenes too explicit, and the book could benefit from more character development for some of the supporting cast. Additionally, the book does rely heavily on some of the familiar tropes of the romance genre.

Overall, Taunting Krell is a solid addition to the paranormal romance genre. Fans of Dohner’s previous work will undoubtedly enjoy it, as will anyone who loves a fast-paced romance with a healthy dose of action.

While it may not be perfect, it’s definitely worth checking out. Rating: 3.5/5
