About the Author

Robert Greene is a successful writer and speaker who was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended U.C. California at Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he earned a degree in classical studies.

After graduation, Robert worked in New York as an editor and writer for various publications, including Esquire. He also worked in Hollywood as a story developer and writer.

In 1995, he contributed to the creation of the art school Fabrica, which is located outside Venice, Italy. It was there that he met Joost Elffers, a book packager from New York.

Robert’s second book, The Art of Seduction, was released in 2001 and is a detailed exploration of the greatest seducers in history. It is both a handbook on how to use the ultimate form of power and a sequel to The 48 Laws.

In 2006, Robert released his third book, The 33 Strategies of War. This work is a strategic look at the movements of war and how they can be applied to everyday life.

Robert’s books have a strong following in the business world and in Washington, DC, and have been praised by everyone from war historians to famous rappers like Jay-Z and 50 Cent.

Editoral Review

Robert Greenes The Art of Seduction is one of the most provocative books ever written on the subject of manipulation and power play. First published in 2001, the book offers readers a glimpse into the world of seduction, examining the strategies used by famous seducers and showing how anyone can use these tactics in contemporary life.

The author, Robert Greene, is known for his literary works on power, strategy and seduction. His earlier books, The 48 Laws of Power and The 33 Strategies of War, have cemented his position as one of the most insightful writers on the subject of power relationships.

In this book, Greene focuses on the psychological aspects of seduction, outlining the different types of seducers and victims, and highlighting the tactics used by each. The book is divided into sections, with each section devoted to a specific type of seducer or victim.

The chapters are well-structured and easy to navigate, with each exploring a different strategy or technique. The book is written in a style that is both informative and entertaining, making it an easy read that can be enjoyed by both scholars and non-academics.

The Art of Seduction is a timeless work that transcends any specific historical or cultural context. The book delves into the timeless themes of manipulation, power play, and psychological dominance, and provides valuable insights into human relationships.

The authors research is comprehensive and insightful, offering numerous historical examples and real-life stories of seduction. They add depth and flavor to the book, and help to illustrate the different strategies and tactics used by seducers.

One of the strengths of the book is its emphasis on empathy and compassion. The author points out that seducers are successful only if they are able to connect with their victims on an emotional level.

The book emphasizes the importance of understanding the human psyche and developing empathy as a key component in the art of seduction. However, the book has several flaws.

For one, the authors emphasis on manipulation and power play may be concerning for some readers, who may find the tactics used in the book morally questionable. Additionally, some of the strategies outlined in the book feel repetitive, and a closer edit would have helped trim some of the redundancies.

Overall, The Art of Seduction is an insightful and entertaining book that offers valuable insights into human psychology and relationships. It is a must-read for anyone interested in developing their interpersonal skills or mastering the art of persuasion.

Despite its flaws, the book is a useful guide for anyone seeking to understand the dynamics of power and seduction in contemporary life. I recommend this book to anyone interested in psychology, power play or personal development.

In my opinion, the book deserves a score of 4/5, with its only limitation being its moral ambiguity. Nevertheless, the book is well-written, insightful and thought-provoking, making it an essential read for anyone looking to master the art of persuasion.
