About the Author

Michael John Moorcock is a well-known English writer who specializes in science fiction and fantasy. Despite this, he has also written several literary novels.

Moorcock has cited three books as the ones that first ignited his imagination: The Gods of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Apple Cart by George Bernard Shaw, and The Constable of St. Nicholas by Edward Lester Arnold.

At only sixteen years old, Moorcock became the editor of a magazine. Later on, he moved on to edit another magazine.

His tenure as editor of the controversial British science fiction magazine, New Worlds, proved to be significant. From May 1964 until March 1971 and then again from 1976 to 1996, Moorcock spearheaded the development of the science fiction “New Wave” in the UK and indirectly in the United States.

He serialized Norman Spinrad’s novel Bug Jack Barron, which caused British MPs to condemn the Arts Council’s funding of the magazine.

From time to time, Moorcock wrote under the pseudonym “James Colvin,” a name that other critics used as well. He also used the initials “JC” frequently, which is not a coincidence.

These initials are also the initials of Jesus Christ, which is the subject of his 1967 Nebula award-winning novella Behold the Man. The story is about Karl Glogauer, a time-traveler who takes on the role of Christ.

The initials “JC” also appear in the names of various “Eternal Champion” Moorcock characters, such as Jerry Cornelius, Jerry Cornell, and Jherek Carnelian.

Most recently, Moorcock has been using yet another pseudonym, “Warwick Colvin, Jr.,” particularly in his fiction.

Editoral Review

Rebecca’s Lost Journals by Lisa Renee Jones is a gripping work of fiction that delves into the darkest depths of the human psyche. A combination of mystery, suspense, and eroticism, this novel is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Lisa Renee Jones is a New York Times bestselling author known for her captivating stories that explore the hidden desires and secrets of her characters. With Rebecca’s Lost Journals, she takes readers on a journey through the mind of Rebecca Mason, a woman who vanished under mysterious circumstances.

Narrated through a series of journal entries that Rebecca left behind, the novel follows her as she embarks on a dangerous affair with a enigmatic man named Mark. As their relationship deepens, Rebecca realizes that Mark is hiding something sinister from her, and she becomes increasingly desperate to uncover the truth.

Set against the backdrop of the luxurious lifestyle of the rich and famous, Rebecca’s Lost Journals is a poignant commentary on the corrupt nature of power and wealth. Jones has a keen eye for detail and her vivid descriptions of the opulent settings create a rich and immersive reading experience.

One of the strongest aspects of the novel is its complex and deeply flawed characters. Rebecca is a fascinating protagonist whose inner demons are both captivating and disturbing.

Mark is equally compelling, a dark and enigmatic figure who keeps the reader guessing until the very end. However, the novel’s pacing can be somewhat uneven, with certain scenes dragging on for too long while others feel rushed.

Additionally, the novel’s graphic depictions of sex and violence may be unsettling for some readers. Despite these shortcomings, Rebecca’s Lost Journals is a powerful and evocative novel that explores the darker areas of the human psyche with nuance and depth.

Fans of psychological thrillers and erotic fiction will find much to enjoy here. Overall, Rebecca’s Lost Journals is a well-crafted piece of literature that delves deep into the human experience.

It is a must-read for anyone who is interested in exploring the darker aspects of the human psyche. The Washington Post rates this book 4 out of 5 stars.
