About the Author

Meet Jane Lindskold, a prolific author with over twenty published novels and more than sixty short stories. Her notable works include the Firekeeper Saga, Child of a Rainless Year, and The Buried Pyramid.

She also penned the “Breaking the Wall” series and the Artemis Awakening series. Lindskold is not just a solo writer; she has collaborated with several other SF/F writers such as Roger Zelazny, David Weber, and Fred Saberhagen.

Lindskold’s writing style is unique, praised by critics for her ability to tell a contemporary story with the weight and style of old mythological story cycles. Born in 1962 in Washington, D.C., Lindskold grew up in Chesapeake Bay with three siblings.

Her parents were attorneys, and her father was head of the Land and Natural Resources Division, Western Division of the United States Justice Department. Lindskold has a Ph.D. in English from Fordham University, where she focused on Medieval, Renaissance, and Modern British Literature.

She successfully defended her Ph.D. on her 26th birthday.
