Editoral Review

Trust Me, published in 1995 by Jayne Ann Krentz, is a thrilling novel that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Krentz is a prolific author known for her suspenseful and romantic tales, and Trust Me is a shining example of her talent in these areas.

The plot of Trust Me centers around the character of Lois Cairns, who works as a public relations expert. When her friend and business partner is murdered, Lois starts to investigate the crime on her own, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Along the way, she is forced to team up with a former lover, Markham Wilder, who happens to be a private investigator. As they work together to unravel the truth behind the murder, they must confront their past relationship and the feelings that still linger between them.

Krentz’s writing style is engaging and fast-paced, and she has a talent for creating complex, multi-layered characters. Lois and Markham are both flawed and fascinating, and readers will be invested in their story from the very beginning.

The setting of the novel, a glamorous world of business and high society, adds to the intrigue and suspense of the plot. One of the strengths of Trust Me is its exploration of the complexities of relationships.

Lois and Markham’s romance is far from perfect, and Krentz does an excellent job of depicting the nuances of their emotions and interactions. At the same time, the novel also touches on the themes of power, greed, and corruption, highlighting the darker side of the business world.

While Trust Me is an enjoyable and engaging read, it does have some flaws. Some readers may find the plot predictable, and there are moments where the story drags.

Additionally, some of the supporting characters feel underdeveloped and one-dimensional. Despite these shortcomings, Trust Me is a must-read for fans of romantic suspense.

Krentz’s skillful storytelling and well-crafted characters make for a thrilling and entertaining read. Overall, I would give Trust Me a rating of 4 out of 5, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gripping, fast-paced novel that will keep them guessing until the very end.
