Editoral Review

Vampire Vacation is a thrilling novel written by C.J. Ellisson, first published on October 10, 2010. As the title suggests, this book explores the supernatural world of vampires and the thrilling adventure of one woman’s vacation gone wrong.

Ellisson’s mastery of the supernatural genre provides a unique twist to the classic vampire story. This book is perfect for readers who love action, suspense, and a touch of romance.

The story follows the vacation of Amy, who is struggling to come to terms with her recent divorce. Her best friend, Stacy, convinces her to come along on a vampire-themed cruise, hoping to cheer her up.

However, things take a turn for the worse when Amy discovers that the cruise is in fact an opportunity for vampires to feed on humans. As the only human on board, she finds herself compelled to save not only herself but her fellow passengers as well.

Ellisson does an excellent job of building tension and suspense throughout the book, transporting the reader into a world filled with danger and unpredictability. The setting was also well crafted, from the luxurious cruise ship to the dark streets of Istanbul, which helped to immerse the reader into the fictional world.

The characters in the story are also particularly engaging. Amy is a relatable character, flawed yet determined to survive.

The side characters, particularly the vampire prince, give depth to the plot and provide additional layers to the story. The plot structure is well thought out and executed.

The pacing is perfect, allowing the reader to become fully immersed in the story without feeling bored or overwhelmed. The themes of love, trust, and loyalty also add a layer of complexity to the plot, giving the novel a deeper meaning.

Although the story is well written, there are a few areas that could use improvement. Specifically, the ending felt somewhat rushed and could have been fleshed out further.

Additionally, some of the plot twists were predictable, which may detract from the suspense for some readers. Overall, Vampire Vacation is an excellent read for fans of the supernatural and thrillers.

Ellisson’s masterful storytelling brings a unique twist to the classic vampire narrative, making it stand out among other books in the genre. With well-crafted characters and plot pacing, the novel is sure to keep readers engaged from beginning to end.

I highly recommend this novel to anyone looking for an exciting and engaging read. Rating: 4/5 stars.
