About the Author

Kristen Ashley hails from Gary, Indiana, where she had quite the dramatic entrance into the world. The umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, but she made it out alive and ready to accessorize at a young age.

After spending her childhood in Brownsburg, Indiana, Kristen has had the privilege of calling Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England home. This has given her a diverse group of friends and family that span the globe, and they are a bit eccentric, to say the least.

But, their unique quirks make for great writing material.

Kristen’s upbringing was filled with music, fashion, and love. She grew up in a multi-generational family on a small farm in a small town in the heartland.

The sounds of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake filled the house, and the fashion matched the tunes.

It’s safe to say that growing up in a home full of music, fashion, and love was the perfect environment for Kristen to thrive. And as she continues to grow older, life only seems to get better for her.

Editoral Review

Wild and Free by Kristen Ashley is a contemporary romance novel that was first published on December 29, 2014. Kristen Ashley is a prolific author of romance novels, having written over 50 books in the genre.

Her novels are known for their strong heroines, alpha male love interests, and steamy love scenes.

The novel opens with the introduction of the main character, Abel Jin, who is a motorcycle club member and a firefighter. Abel is a man who is used to getting what he wants, but he is also haunted by his past.

When he meets a beautiful and independent woman named Delilah, he is immediately drawn to her. Delilah is a wildlife biologist who is passionate about her work and her independence.

Despite their differences, Abel and Delilah are drawn to each other, and they soon begin a passionate romance.

The setting of the novel is in the Colorado Mountains, and the author does an excellent job of describing the beauty of the natural surroundings. The conflicts in the novel arise from the differences between Abel and Delilah’s worlds.

Abel is used to living a dangerous and violent lifestyle, while Delilah is focused on her career and living a peaceful life. The tension between these two worlds creates a compelling and engaging story.

Overall, the novel is well-written and engaging. The characters are well-developed, and the pacing of the story is excellent.

The love scenes between Abel and Delilah are steamy and passionate. The themes of the novel include love, trust, and independence.

One of the strengths of the novel is the author’s ability to create realistic and relatable characters. Abel and Delilah are both flawed and complex characters that readers can empathize with.

The author also does an excellent job of describing the natural surroundings of the Colorado Mountains, which adds to the overall beauty of the story.

One weakness of the novel is that it can be overly predictable at times. The conflicts between Abel and Delilah are resolved too quickly, and the ending is somewhat predictable.

In comparison to other romance novels, Wild and Free is a well-written and engaging story. The author’s writing style is easy to read and flows well.

The novel will appeal to readers who enjoy steamy romance novels with strong and independent heroines.

Overall, Wild and Free by Kristen Ashley is an enjoyable and engaging romance novel that will appeal to a wide range of readers. The characters are well-developed, and the setting is beautiful.

While the novel is not without its flaws, it is still a well-written and entertaining story. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance novels with strong and independent heroines.
