Editoral Review

Wild by Lori Foster is a romance novel that takes readers on an exhilarating ride filled with passion and danger. Foster is a prolific author with over 100 published works, and this book is one of the earlier ones in her career, first published in 2001.

As a prominent voice in the romance genre, Foster knows how to create irresistible characters, settings, and stories that keep readers engaged from cover to cover. The plot of Wild revolves around Delilah, a tough but vulnerable woman who is on the run from her past, and Conner, a former Navy SEAL turned private investigator who is hired to find her.

Set against the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains, Delilah and Conner’s journey takes them on a rugged, wild adventure that is full of twists and surprises. The chemistry between them is explosive, and their forbidden attraction is the driving force behind the book.

Foster’s writing style is immersive and engaging, with vivid descriptions that transport readers to the rugged, natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. The characters’ struggles and emotions are palpable, and readers will find themselves rooting for Delilah and Conner’s love to triumph against all odds.

The pacing of the book is tight and well-crafted, with enough suspense and action to keep readers on the edge of their seats. While Wild is primarily a romance novel, it also deals with important themes such as trust, redemption, and the importance of family.

Delilah’s troubled past and Conner’s determination to protect her highlight the importance of forgiveness and second chances, making this book an uplifting and heartwarming read. While Wild has its strengths, it also has some flaws.

The characters, while compelling, feel somewhat one-dimensional at times, and the plot falls into some predictable cliches of the genre. However, these limitations do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the book, and readers looking for a steamy and thrilling romance novel will not be disappointed.

Overall, Wild by Lori Foster is a well-crafted romance novel that will appeal to fans of the genre. Its powerful love story, engaging characters, and beautiful setting make it a fulfilling and enjoyable read.

Whether readers are looking for a thrilling adventure or a heartwarming romance, Wild delivers. The Washington Post gives Wild a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, based on its immersive style, engaging plot, and themes that resonate with contemporary issues of trust and redemption.
