Overview

Born Sinner by S.L. Jennings is a gritty and heart-wrenching story that follows the journey of a child born into the harsh realities of Chicago’s streets. Against all odds, he survives and is raised to become a force to be reckoned with.

His thoughts wield power, and his words are weapons that can bring down even the mightiest of foes. But when he crosses paths with the Se7en, a group that embodies sin and salvation, he is thrown into a battle that puts his very existence on the line.

Their leader is ruthless and unyielding, but when he takes the protagonist as his prisoner, he begins to question everything he stands for. As they navigate their way through a dangerous and deadly game of cat and mouse, they discover that sometimes, the line between good and evil can blur.

Will they be able to survive in a world where nothing is black and white? Or will they fall to the darkness that threatens to consume them both?

Editoral Review

Witch’s Canyon by Jeffrey J. Mariotte is a riveting thriller novel that combines elements of horror, mystery, and suspense.

The book delves into the supernatural, mythical world of witches and their evil powers. Mariotte, an accomplished author of more than 50 novels, has crafted a tale that is not only engaging but also compelling.

His unique writing style, which is descriptive, immersive, and fast-paced, makes the book a page-turner from start to finish. Set in the small town of Prosperity, Arizona, the story follows an undercover FBI agent, Diana Sheen, who is investigating a series of brutal murders that have taken place in the area.

As she delves deeper into the case, she discovers a dark world of witchcraft, where a group of powerful witches is using their abilities to exact revenge on their enemies. The characters in the book are well developed and relatable, especially Diana, who is a strong and determined protagonist.

Alongside her is Sheriff Garth Morgan, who is determined to bring the killers to justice. The setting of the book is also impressive, as the author uses the remote, isolated location to create an eerie and foreboding atmosphere.

One of the significant strengths of the book is the author’s attention to detail, which adds depth to the story and the characters. He effortlessly weaves historical and cultural references into the narrative, creating a rich and believable world where witchcraft and supernatural powers exist.

However, the book’s pacing can be a bit slow at times, and some of the characters’ actions and motives may seem unrealistic. The book’s resolution also leaves a few unanswered questions, which may leave some readers unsatisfied.

Overall, Witch’s Canyon is a well-crafted and exciting thriller that will appeal to fans of horror, mystery, and suspense. It is an excellent example of the genre, showcasing the author’s mastery of storytelling and his ability to engage readers with his unique style.

For those looking for an escape into a supernatural world filled with suspense and thrills, Witch’s Canyon is a definite must-read. It is also a book that raises themes and issues that resonate with modern-day problems, making it a timely and important work of fiction.
